United to End Genocide in Burma
The Interfaith Coalition to End Genocide in Burma, is a united group of American faith leaders from diverse religious backgrounds who have come together out of a deep concern for the suffering of the indigenous Rohingya of Burma/Myanmar who face the risk of genocide and annihilation at the hands of the Burmese military. The coalition seeks to move its congregations, allies and those in power to end the hatred and violence that has brought us to this dire precipice in which a whole ethnicity is in danger of being wiped out from the face of the earth. The cries and promises of “Never Again” have often rung too hollow over the many decades since World War II and the Holocaust but as people rooted in faith we are tasked to not give-in to cynicism, and rather reaffirm the inherent dignity endowed by The Creator onto all humans.
